Lucy Bond
Collaborator/ Performer/ Press
Lucy stepped onto her first stage at the age of 5. She was the Scottish angel in her primary school’s nativity play, her auburn tresses complimenting the costume her mother made from a hessian sack. Lucy also played Boudicca and Queen Elizabeth I. Attending an all girls’ secondary school, Lucy’s masculine nature was the second characteristic to be exploited. Taking Peter in The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe and Tom Rich in a National Connections project. In more recent years, her taste has taken a more unconventional path, and she has ended up as liaison manager (yes, liaison manager) of Splutter Theatre.
With a penchant for the truthfully grotesque, she has embraced Old Gristle with gusto, and looks forward to the final product.

Benedict Hudson
Collaborator/ DIRECTOR/ Writer
Ben first started making people feel queasy at the age of 2 when he would shit himself whilst making eye contact. Since then he has gone on to metaphorically shit himself over many a stage. Directing his first production, Beckett's 'Waiting For Godot', as an only slightly haggard 15 year old, he realised that he loved showing off for perverts in dark rooms. He has directed numerous productions around the cesspit of London, including his own vile expositions that some have described as "plays" Bruised and ...And Other Bitter Things. He also once directed a really up beat musical, but we don't talk about that. He has now finely honed the art of making audiences really not want to be there, mostly due to the unnerving environments he creates, not due to the plays being crap. His plays are actually really good. Oh and he also played the pivotal roles of "Choking Boy" in Family affairs, Boy in assembly in Hollyoaks, and child that was not Dot Cotton's Grandson in Eastenders. It was emotional.
Ben is directing the filthy people of Old Gristle, and he's really excited to make people want to leave.

Georgie Jones
Collaborator/ PERFORMER/ Promotions
Georgie got her big break as an actor at the age of 8 in a school production of The Rainbow Fish in which she played the eponymous hero, The Rainbow Fish. She then had a brief hiatus following a particularly disfiguring bout of chicken pox, eventually returning to acting with an especially memorable performance as Mary in the cult classic The Nativity Story.
Since then Georgie has had numerous principle roles in both cinematic and theatrical productions such as; Emma in Align, Doll in Playhouse Creatures, Mrs Mugglewump in the Edinburgh Fringe sell-out production of The Twits and Angela the secretary in her first immersive performance, The Surgery.
Georgie is also an avid Musical Theatre performer, her most memorable role being pregnant cheerleader Quinn Fabray in a touring production of ‘Gleeful: The Musical.’
More recently Georgie has been working with Jackdaw Theatre Company to create the feminist powerhouse that is 10 WOMEN.
Georgie was thrilled to have made her debut with Splutter Theatre this year as Hayley in their sell-out revival of Philip Ridley’s The Pitchfork Disney and she is incredibly excited to be working with them again as part of the glorious decadence that is Old Gristle.

Hannah Maxwell
Collaborator/ Performer/ Production Manager
Hannah was cast as Nancy in her school’s production of Oliver! aged 10, and although they had to get someone to scream offstage for her because she had a tiny man-voice, she has never looked back. performing in manifold productions in both Hertfordshire and London. Her capabilities span from naturalism, to comedy, to musical theatre, to the paint-splattered horror of Splutter's '…And Other Bitter Things'. She won the Welwyn Youth Drama Festival five times, which is a BIG DEAL. The judge said she had ‘fantastic acting eyes’. She’s a diamond in a shit, turned diamond in a sack of other diamonds. Her booming RP voice will leave you tingling in all of your areas.
Hannah is looking forward to Gristling away with the best of them at EdFringe this summer. Look out for a posh old bird, front and centre.

Jack Noble
Collaborator/ Performer/ Promotions
Jack Noble bounced onto the stage as a chubby Buttons at the age of 11. Since then he’s managed to get his sausage fingers all over the lead roles in Metamorphosis and Guys & Dolls. His role in SPLUTTER THEATRE is not only as a performer (Bruised, …And Other Bitter Things and The Pitchfork Disney) but also as a key collaborator in the sausage making process.
For SPLUTTER THEATRE’s adventure into the less than quaint town of ‘Old Gristle’ Jack will be heavily involved with both the creative process and the stuffing of people’s faces that we call promotions. Jack’s abilities range from naturalism to the heightened visceral style of SPLUTTER THEATRE. Be wary, he bites.

Mike Pickering
Collaborator/ Performer
Mike held an immediate desire to perform from the moment he saw Jim Carrey in The Mask. With obnoxious flair, he skipped and screamed his way through life trying to make people adore his wide-eyed foolishness, Featuring highlights Like Playing Mowgli in The Jungle Book, Mort in Mort, and The Cat In The Hat in Seussical: The Musical. Times were good growing up. However, things got serious upon joining Queen Mary Theatre Company, where he took on challenging roles including Peter in Dog Days, Guildenstern in Rozencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead and Him in Splutter Theatre's sell-out debut play Bruised.
This will be his third EdFringe appearance and potentially his most important, with the Old Gristle team stepping the theatrical intensity up to a whole new brain-melting level and a disturbing darkness festering in Mike's soul.

Charlotte Rees
Collaborator/ Performer/ Production Manager
Charlotte has had experience in both amateur and professional productions across her performance ‘career’. One of her most memorable and perhaps earliest stage appearances was a solo singing part in a production of Whistle Down The Wind performed at Cardiff’s New Theatre in 2000. Her taster for musical performance continued, and in 2004 she toured with the Welsh National Opera in a performance of Turandot. Although her voice was only heard from off-stage, her presence was required for each show and she gained an insight into the exciting world of professional theatre. Throughout her education Charlotte continued to throw herself into many acting opportunities, obtaining the lead role of ‘Sandy’ in the school’s musical Grease during her last year of study. Since being at university, Charlotte has faced some challenging roles, particularly that of ‘Jack’ in Ken Benard’s The Moke-Eater. This particular role required intense characterisation work, testing her ability to successfully portray a frightened, over-whelmed, middle-aged man. Over the last year Charlotte has dipped her toes into the world of screen acting, with a minor ‘extra’ role alongside Eddie Redmayne in Theory of Everything being released in 2015, as well as an ‘extra’ role in ITV’s 2014 World Cup advert.
Charlotte is thrilled to be performing at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe festival as part of Splutter Theatre and cannot wait to show the world the exciting project that is Old Gristle along with her fabulous fellow cast members.
